The ozone generator is built into your Nuvio Recovery Chiller to help keep your water cleaner, fresher, and more hygienic between changes. It works by producing a small amount of ozone (O₃), a natural sanitizer that kills bacteria and helps prevent buildup, all without chemicals.
What the Ozone Generator Does
When activated, the ozone generator releases ozone into the water. This gas helps:
Kill bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms
Reduce odors and organic buildup
Extend the time between full water drains and refills
💡 Tip: You may notice a mild, fresh smell while the ozone generator is active, this is completely normal and means it’s working!
How to Use the Ozone Generator Safely
To ensure you’re using the ozone feature correctly, follow these best practices:
Use in a Well-Ventilated Area
Run the ozone cycle outdoors or in a space with good airflow to allow ozone gas to disperse safely.Do Not Enter the Tub During the Cycle
Avoid using the ice bath while the ozone generator is running. The ozone is meant for water sanitation, not for direct exposure.Wait Before Plunging
After the ozone cycle finishes, wait at least 30 minutes before using your tub to ensure the ozone has fully dissipated.
