Getting your Nuvio Long Pod Pro ready for use is quick and simple! Whether it’s your first setup or you’re reassembling after storage, following these steps will help ensure the pod is positioned, connected, and ready for an optimal cold plunge experience.
This guide covers everything from unpacking your Long Pod Pro to connecting it with your chiller and filling it for your first session.

Detailed Instructions
1. Inflate the Long Recovery Pod Pro: Connect the hand pump to the air valve on the pod. Inflate until the pressure reaches 8–10 PSI. Once inflated, securely close the valve. Note: Always use on a flat surface and avoid contact with sharp objects.
2. Tighten the Valve: After inflating, use the provided wrench to fully tighten the valve for a secure seal. The included pump is double-action, meaning it inflates/deflates on both the up and down strokes. For easier inflation, remove the valve plug to switch to single-action mode, which inflates only on the down stroke.
3. Install Water Adapters: Screw the included adapters into the "Water Inlet" and "Water Outlet". For a more secure connection, apply PTFE tape to the threads before screwing in the adapters. This improves watertightness and reduces the risk of leaks.
OR
4. Connect to your Recovery Chiller Pro:
- Wrap PTFE tape around the threaded end of the stainless steel filter to improve watertightness.
- Screw the hose with the integrated pump and stainless steel filter onto the "Water Outlet" port until tight.
- Next, screw the white threaded adapter (included) onto the "Water Inlet" port.
- Take the second hose (the one that originally has the weighted water filter on it), remove the weighted filter, then attach the black hose connector to the white adapter by screwing it in.
- Firmly press the hose onto the black connector until secure.
- Finally, screw both hoses onto the appropriate ports of the chiller (see detailed guide here).
5. Fill with Water: Using a garden hose, fill the pod with cold water until the water level is approximately 6 inches (15 cm) below the top rim, or 120 gallons of water. Important: Do not fill more than ⅔ full to prevent overflow when entering.
6. Inflate the Recovery Lid Pro: Attach the hand pump to the lid’s valve and inflate until firm. Once inflated, secure the valve using the safety cap.
7. Place the Absorbent Mat: Lay down the absorbent mat beneath your setup to catch any drips or splashes during use.
8. Use the Recovery Lid Pro: Place the lid over the pod to protect it from dirt, leaves, and debris when not in use.
9. Drain the Water: Use the outlet drainage system to fully drain the water after use.
10. Deflate the Long Recovery Pod Pro: Deflate, clean, dry, and carefully fold the pod. Store all components in the Premium Travel Bag for your next session.
Deflation Instructions:
- Gently press the valve stem to avoid damaging the internal mechanism.
- Turn to unlock position and release air.
- Use the pump (hose connected to the bottom port) to extract any remaining air.
