To ensure optimal performance and prevent water leaks when using your chiller, it’s essential to follow these best practices and safety guidelines. By thoroughly reading the user manual and adhering to the instructions below, you can maintain your chiller’s functionality and avoid potential damage.
1. NEVER run the chiller without the pump in operation
- The chiller MUST only be operated when the water pump is also in use.
- Failure to use the water pump may result in internal freezing and the formation of cracks within the chiller, which will cause leaks.
2. ALWAYS check the chiller prior to every use, and monitor it under operation
- It is the user's responsibility to ensure that the chiller is operating normally during each use.
- Users should monitor for leaks during the operation and start-up of the chiller and pump.
3. NEVER drop the chiller
- Dropping or tilting the chiller when in operation can cause internal damage.
- After moving the chiller, allow it to stand for at least 1 hour before powering on.
4. NEVER tamper with fittings when in operation
- Adjusting fittings may cause leaks to occur when the device is full of water.
5. ALWAYS adequately secure the water pump within the water
- If the water pump is allowed to become detached from the water tubes or allowed to move about in the water, it's possible for it to displace water.
It's possible to mistake surface condensation that may occur on the chiller or water tubes and a leak. Condensation is a natural process that will always occur when the chiller is operating in humid air. The presence of condensation is not an issue and can easily be wiped away with a cloth. And ensure the surface water is kept away from electronics and plugs.
